A storyteller at heart, I’m always ready with a crazy story from my own life; whether it be military deployments, carpooling, working for the Smithsonian, skydiving, teaching my teens to drive, roller skating lessons, or blasting my husband into outer space. I am the author of The Astronaut’s Wife: How Launching my Husband into Outer Space Changed the Way I Live on Earth and I have committed to donating 100% of my book sale proceeds to charities supporting military families. My husband and I have four children and currently reside in the Marshall Islands, on Kwajalein Atoll, a tiny island military base in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. (Google it, you won’t be disappointed!) When I’m not speaking at women’s events or scribbling down ideas for my next book, I love watching historical dramas, reading a good mystery novel, laughing at memes, or planning my next adventure.
Professionally, I work for The MOMCo (formerly MOPS International) as an Executive Leadership Coach and the lead for Military and Online groups. I have set the audacious goal of establishing a MOMCo Meetup on (or just outside the gate) at every US military installation worldwide by 2030 so no military mom is ever alone.
